THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are searching for a detail-oriented Accounting/Finance Analyst to join our growing team and be the go to accounting support for Against the Grain. This individual will report to the Finance Manager and assist with budget preparation, keeping track of records and receipts as well as reconciliation of daily, monthly, and annual transactions. They will also work closely with Against the Grain’s IT, sales, logistics, and shipping & receiving departments. This role is a combination of remote and office work, depending on experience/ability to perform.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the month-end closing of the financials, including but not limited to recording accruals, deferrals, reconciling accounts, and mapping costs to GL accounts
  • Assess different expenses to determine if an accrual or amortization is necessary, and communicate with Finance Mgr for any forecasting implications
  • Manage Accounts Payable through Bill.com and Ramp
  • Manage the migration of data from these applications into Netsuite and ensure proper coding of expenses
  • Process customer payments and notify Finance Manager for cash forecasting purposes
  • Process and maintain supporting documentation for credits  and deductions taken from customer payments (tradespend)
  • Assist in year-end audit
  • Propose updates to Netsuite for efficiencies, reporting, etc
  • Maintain proper controls and supporting process documentation
  • Other duties as assigned by management


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting fundamentals and general ledger structures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external constituents
  • Ability to work independently
  • Understanding of high-quality standards
  • Experience with Netsuite
  • Proficiency with Micrsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
